When and Where
Jacaranda blooms are at their peak in late October through early November, and the season passes quickly. For my mini sessions, I photograph families under some of the most stunning jacaranda trees in Sydney’s west — including my favourite location, in Penrith area, where the light filters gently through the blossoms and the open space gives children room to play freely.
What to Wear
Neutral tones, soft pastels, and flowing fabrics pair beautifully with the jacaranda colours. Think soft creams, light beige, blush, or muted lavender — anything that complements rather than competes with the natural purple hues. Barefoot moments are always welcome, and comfortable shoes (no runners) are a must if we wander through the park.
