Nestled quietly in Beaumont Hills, Turkey’s Nest Recreation Park is one of those peaceful spots that feels like a secret escape right in the heart of the Hills District and the best way to access is at the end of Arnold Janssen Drive. The park is built around a beautiful lake that reflects the soft afternoon light, creating the most serene backdrop for maternity photos. Surrounded by tall gum trees and a number of stunning old fig trees, it offers endless little corners of natural beauty — from shaded spots under the canopy to open grassy areas kissed by the sun.

I’ve photographed here many times, and it never fails to surprise me how timeless and peaceful it feels. The walking paths meander gently around the lake, perfect for those quiet, connected moments between couples. It’s not unusual to see people sitting on blankets, watching the sunset together — and that’s exactly what makes this place so special. There’s a sense of calm, love, and togetherness that beautifully complements the emotion of maternity sessions.

3 - The Hills Centenary Park, Rouse Hill

This park is gorgeous with its row, bushy surroundings. Has plenty of Golden Wattles in early spring. 

4 - Swane's Nursery, Dural

This location is not a park but a lovely garden next to the nursery. Has stunning flower arches and lot's of roses around. Just perfect for Maternity sessions especially in spring when wisterias are in full bloom.

5 - Fagan Park, Galston

Everyone's favourite! The most amazing park in the North-West of Sydney. Go-to location for every photographer. Beautiful and versatile in every season of the year.
